SANA'A August 19. 2024 (Saba) – A strategic meeting was held on Monday at the Ministry of Oil and Minerals in the capital Sana'a, chaired by Minister Dr. Abdullah al-Amir.
The discussion centered on developing and refining the activities and tasks of Yemen's oil sector.
The meeting included key ministry officials and heads of affiliated units, who reviewed the current operations and challenges faced by the sector.
Minister al-Amir emphasized the need for unified efforts and teamwork to address these challenges, particularly given the ongoing conflict and blockade affecting the country.
Al-Amir underscored the importance of improving operational efficiency, adhering to work schedules, and expediting service delivery to alleviate citizen suffering.
He also stressed the need for enhancing staff qualifications as a critical factor for advancing the oil sector, which plays a vital role in Yemen’s economy.
Deputy Minister Yasser al-Wahidi highlighted the necessity of collective action and prioritizing key areas to support the government’s change and construction programs.
Al-Wahidi called for focused efforts to drive the sector’s development and align with broader governmental objectives.
