SANA'A August 17. 2024 (Saba) – Al-Rumaimah family in the capital Sana'a marked on Saturday the ninth anniversary today of the atrocities committed by aggression mercenaries against their relatives in Mashra'a and Wahdan districts of Taiz province.
The event was held under the theme "Blood Triumphed Over the Sword."
The ceremony, attended by members of the House of Representatives and Shura Council, along with scholars and military leaders, featured remarks from Ali Al-Qahoum of the Ansar Allah Political Bureau.
He emphasized the need to remember the brutal acts perpetrated by the mercenaries against the Al-Rumaimah family in Mashra'a and Wahdan.
Al-Qahoum highlighted Taiz's strategic importance and criticized the aggression coalition's failed efforts to incite religious, sectarian, and denominational conflict there. He commended the armed forces and the people of Taiz for their resilience in opposing the coalition's plans.
He lauded al-Rumaimah family's sacrifices for their country's freedom and security, underscoring the importance of maintaining awareness and a strong faith identity to counter ongoing conspiracies against Yemen.
Al-Qahoum also discussed how awareness has empowered Yemenis to resist the American-Zionist coalition and its allies over the years.
Military expert Mujib Shamsan addressed the gravity of the current stage in the ongoing conflict, noting it represents a pivotal moment in the struggle between truth and falsehood. He reviewed the crimes committed by the U.S., Israel, and Britain, reflecting their moral decline and the importance of unwavering support for revolutionary leadership and its plans.
Shura Council member Abdulrahman Al-Rumaimah emphasized the significance of commemorating the ninth anniversary of the attacks on the Al-Rumaimah family, framing them as acts of genocide comparable to historical and ongoing crimes by the aggression coalition.
He commended the revolutionary leader's support for martyr families and the Palestinian cause.
Cultural activist Muhammad Abdul Aziz Al-Rumaimah, speaking for the martyr families, noted that this commemoration aligns with Yemen's support for the Palestinian cause, within the broader struggle for justice.
A statement from the event praised the revolutionary leadership for its commitment to confronting the aggression coalition, expressing pride in its support for the Palestinian cause.
