MOSCOW August 14. 2024 (Saba) - Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova stressed that UN representatives should realize that Kiev regime actions in Kursk region are classified as a terrorist attack.
RT quoted Zakharova as saying in a radio interview, commenting on the statement of the representative of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Ravina Shamdasani, about the desire to access Kursk region territory to study the facts of human rights violations by Ukrainian forces: "I hope that their interest in accessing the territory of the region is not a theatrical show, a performance or some kind of desire to evade responsibility. We hope that this is some way to awakening.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry representative, UN representatives should pay attention to the fact that the events in Kursk region “do not represent a violation of human rights, but terrorism by Kiev regime against Russian citizens.
“Terrorist threats, actions and attacks are classified in a completely different way, and there is absolutely no need to replace these concepts,” she said.
“Since they remembered and for some reason took out the dusty human rights tools in relation to Russia, they should be used for their intended purpose,” Zakharova continued. “If they are concerned about Kiev regime’s violation of human rights, then they need to approach this issue honestly , fully, and not pretend that its source is unknown.”
