BAYDA August 10. 2024 (Saba) - The Emergency Committee in Bayda province on Saturday, headed by undersecretary governor for Administrative Units Abdullah al-Jamali, discussed the necessary measures to confront flood damage and rock collapses.
Al-Jamali reviewed the reports of the directors of the concerned offices on the tasks that have been accomplished according to the plans and previous studies to avoid any damage to the province's districts, and stressed the need to develop a working mechanism to coordinate efforts to find emergency treatments for the damage caused by rain floods.
He approved the procedures and measures that are necessary in accordance with what was included in the central plan, and the activation of the operations room and the development of a plan that contributes to reducing flood damage to agricultural lands and archaeological sites exposed to collapses and maintaining asphalt roads, and draining rainwater.
Al-Jamali stressed the need to develop solutions and take measures to confront flood damage, and activate the Civil Defense Department to confront disasters.
He stressed the implementation of the directives of the President of the Supreme Political Council, to mobilize efforts and capabilities and take the necessary treatments to drain rainwater and floods.
