CASABLANCA August 09. 2024 (Saba) -Thousands of Moroccans participated, on Friday, for the 44th week, in solidarity with the Gaza Strip, which has been subjected to a devastating Zionist-American war since the seventh of last October.
Moroccan media reported that the vigils were organized by the Moroccan Commission for the Support of the Nation's Causes after Friday prayers, in several cities in the Kingdom such as Casablanca, Fez, El Hajeb, Meknes, Berkane, and Taza.
Participants in the vigils called for support for the Palestinians and an end to the war on Gaza, chanting slogans "in support of the Palestinian resistance, and others to reject normalization with Israel."
Among the slogans is "Moroccan greetings... to the martyr (Ismail) Haniyeh", "The people want the liberation of Palestine", "Haniyeh, Ertah, and (the new head of Hamas' political bureau, Yahya) Sinwar will continue the struggle."
Participants in the vigils waved the flags of Palestine and pictures of Haniyeh and Quds.
Since the seventh of last October, the Zionist enemy, with American support, has been waging a devastating war on Gaza that has left more than 131,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than ten thousand missing amid massive destruction and famine that killed dozens of children, in one of the worst humanitarian disasters in the world.
