ANKARA August 8. 2024 (Saba) -Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, during his meeting with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, stressed that "the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh showed once again that Israel does not intend to reach a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip."

On Thursday, the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, visited the Turkish capital Ankara on an indefinite working visit.

The Qatari Amiri Diwan said in a statement: "Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani arrived today in the capital Ankara on a working visit to the sisterly Republic of Turkey."

He added: "The Emir was received upon his arrival at Esenboga International Airport by Hakan Fidan, Turkish Foreign Minister, and many senior officials and members of the Qatari embassy."

He pointed out that Emir Tamim is accompanied by an official delegation, without specifying its members.
