Iran's Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters announced in a statement addressed to the Americans that "the Mujahedeen of Islam, in response to this crime, will carry out powerful and focused operations, with dire, regrettable, and unexpected consequences for you."
The statement addressed to the Americans, read by a spokesman for the headquarters, read: "The criminal United States, by continuing to support the Zionist regime in its comprehensive aggression, has flagrantly violated the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran, directly entered into a war with Iran, and attacked its sacred soil," according to the Iranian Mehr News Agency on Monday.
The statement continued: "This hostile aggression was carried out with the aim of reviving the Zionist entity, which is in a state of stagnation. However, its results were ineffective. Rather, it will lead to expanding the scope of legitimate and diverse targets of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and it will pave the way for the expansion of the war in the region."
The statement added: "We assure you that the clock will not turn in your favor after this aggression. The Mujahedeen of Islam, in response to this crime, will carry out powerful and focused operations, which will have dire, regrettable, and unexpected consequences for you."
