IBB August 06. 2024 (Saba) - A meeting in Ibb Province, headed by Governor Abdul Wahid Salah, discussed on Tuesday the mechanism for implementing the plan to address traffic congestion and organize traffic movement in the province center's streets.
The meeting, which included the governor's deputies Harith Al-Maliki and Fadl Abu Haliqah, the general managers of the public works offices, Eng. Ibrahim Al-Shami, the Land Transport Regulatory Authority, Naaman Al-Darwani, the Cleaning Fund, Bilal Al-Dar, the Traffic Colonel Muhammad Atef, the Directorate of Dhahar, Dr. Fadl Zaid, and the Director of Security of the Directorate, Colonel Muhammad Al-Sabtani, reviewed the report of the committee tasked with addressing traffic congestion, on the work accomplished in organizing buses and sorting in Al-Udayn , Taiz streets, and the measures taken to oblige buses to follow their designated routes.
The meeting approved the transfer of markets and stalls that obstruct traffic to appropriate locations, and the identification of locations for street vendors.
In the meeting, Governor Salah stressed the need to complete the transfer of sorting to alternative locations to facilitate traffic.
He pointed out the importance of finding appropriate solutions and providing alternative locations for street vendors away from public streets, in a way that does not affect their daily activity.. stressing the support of the province leadership for the efforts of the committee assigned to organize markets, facilitate traffic and remove random violations.
