MOSCOW August 06. 2024 (Saba) -Kiev forces on Sunday used for the first time U.S.-made ATACMS missiles, with range up to 300 kilometers, targeting Lugansk City, a Russian military source said, but Russian defenses shot them down.
Despite their luxurious price, these missiles were used by Kiev forces to damage civil infrastructure, a useless step from military viewpoint, the source added in remarks carried by Novosti.
While the Russian defenses downed the missiles, residential buildings were damaged by shrapnel, he said, noting that Russian experts began testing these missiles to decode their secrets for easier tackling in the future.
