BAYDA August 02. 2024 (Saba) – Bayda province on Friday witnessed a significant display of solidarity with mass marches and protests under the banner "Loyalty to the Blood of the Martyrs: With Gaza Until Victory."
The demonstrations condemned the recent assassinations of leaders Ismail Haniyeh and Fouad Shukr.
Led by Bayda Governor Abdullah Idris, General Mobilization Officer Sam Al-Malahi, and other local and military leaders, participants carried Palestinian and Yemeni flags while chanting slogans against the Zionist entity’s actions against Palestinians.
A statement from the marches reaffirmed the Yemeni commitment to ongoing mass mobilizations and expressed unwavering support for Palestinian resistance. It conveyed condolences to the Arab and Islamic nations, particularly to Palestinians and Lebanese, following the deaths of Haniyeh and Shukr.
The statement criticized the Zionist regime's reliance on assassinations as an indication of its failure to maintain deterrence and prestige. It emphasized that such acts underscore the regime's inherent evil and threat to the region. The statement called for intensified preparations by Yemeni and resistance forces to deliver a powerful response and reaffirmed the Yemeni people's dedication to supporting Palestine through various means, including military operations, advocacy, and financial contributions.
Additionally, the statement urged continued public support for Palestinian prisoners and announced plans for further actions on Saturday in honor of the late leader Ismail Haniyeh.
