MOSCOW July 29, 2024 (Saba) - A woman and a tram driver were injured on Monday, the Russian authorities said, following an attack by an Ukrainian drone on the tram in Gorlovka in the Donetsk People's Republic.
"A drone belonging to the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked a tram, and the tram movement was stopped," the city's governor, Ivan Prikhodko, wrote on his Telegram channel.
Prikhodko later added that the tram driver was also injured in the attack.
According to the representative office of the Donetsk People's Republic in the Joint Center for Monitoring and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes in Ukraine, the enemy has attacked Gorlovka three times since this morning.
Kiev forces continue to target the border areas in southwestern Russia with drones and missiles on an almost daily basis, which confirms, according to what President Vladimir Putin announced, the necessity of expanding the scope of the Russian military operation in Ukraine, and removing Kiev forces from the Russian regions within the range of the missiles with which they are trying to strike Russia.
