SANA'A July 24. 2024 (Saba) - Caretaker Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor on Wednesday participated in the closing ceremony of al-Habari Stud Equestrian Show Jumping Championship, which took place at Mazraa Square of al-Ahadan for Producing Milk
The four-day event featured 100 horsemen across various categories: buds, cubs, juniors, and adults.
In his speech, Dr. Bin Habtoor thanked al-Habbari family for commemorating the eighth anniversary of businessman Haj Ali Mohammed Al-Habbari’s passing by supporting youth and equestrian sports.
He highlighted the private sector's role in promoting such sporting activities and contributing to the broader sports movement.
Dr. Bin Habtoor praised the Ministry of Youth and Sports for its support and the athletes and media covering the event. He commended al-Habbari family's efforts in organizing the tournament and encouraging the heritage sport of equestrianism.
Minister of Youth and Sports Mohammed al-Muaydi emphasized the historical significance of equestrian sports in Yemen and noted the achievements of Yemeni riders in show jumping.
He called for continued support for equestrian championships and recognized the military success in targeting the city of Jaffa, reflecting Yemen’s resilience and pride.
Minister of Planning and Development Abdulaziz al-Kumaim acknowledged al-Habbari family's contributions to the grain trade and sports. He urged other businessmen to support Yemeni sports, particularly equestrian activities.
Businessman Yahya al-Habari highlighted the importance of the tournament, aligning it with "Al-Aqsa Flood" battle under the slogan "With Gaza until victory."
He praised the revolutionary leader's efforts in supporting Palestine and thwarting adversaries' attempts in the Red Sea region.
