SANA'A July 24. 2024 (Saba) - In its session today, headed by the Speaker of the Council, Brother Yahya Ali Al-Ra'i, the parliament welcomed the de-escalation agreement regarding the banking sector and Yemeni Airlines.

The parliament affirmed that the agreement, which was sponsored by the United Nations, represents a positive step , a gain for all the Yemeni people, and a loss of the losing American-Zionist bets that tried hard to obstruct everything related to understandings on economic and humanitarian files.

This was considered a first step on the right path to reducing escalation and giving priority to addressing the issues and problems that citizens suffer from in various provinces, especially with regard to the complete opening of Sana'a International Airport, and allowing continuous flights to serve the sick and stranded, in addition to the rest of the other issues related to the financial transfer process.

Al-Ra'i stressed the importance of unifying efforts and integrating performance among the constitutional authorities to confront all the challenges and exceptional circumstances that Yemen is going through.

He expressed the Council's readiness to receive any proposals for draft laws or amendments to laws, articles or paragraphs submitted by the government to the Council.

For his part, the caretaker Prime Minister appreciated the efforts made by the President, the Presidency, and members of the House of Representatives, stressing the government’s commitment to the constitutional text that governs the relationship between constitutional authorities , all recommendations and observations issued by the Parliament .

Dr. Bin Habtoor said, "We are all in the same boat, our responsibility is the same, and we have before us a major project that requires circumventing the directives of the revolution leader , Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, to confront all the challenges and exceptional circumstances that our country is going through."

He pointed out that will not be achieved except by implementing laws and regulations, achieving full discipline, overcoming shortcomings wherever they exist, and working to keep pace with the will of victory achieved by the Yemeni people, thanks to God , the will of the people , their rally around the revolution leader, and adherence to national, religious constants , the issues of the homeland and the nation.

The Council had requested the government to attend today’s session to discuss what is related to illegal taxes and the situation of Hodeida after the Israeli aggression that targeted civilian facilities , objects there, and what is related to the spread of diseases , epidemics, the plans and measures that the government has prepared to confront this.

During the session, the Council approved the caretaker Prime Minister’s request to postpone the discussion of these topics until next Sunday in the presence of the government and relevant ministers.
