HAJJAH July 24. 2024 (Saba) - Hajjah Province Security Department has organized a cultural event to commemorate the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.

During the event, Colonel Abdulkarim al-Naami, Commander of the Rescue Forces Branch, emphasized the significance of observing Ashura to reinforce the connection with the knowledge of guidance, the beacon of truth, and the extension of the prophetic message represented by Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.

Colonel al-Naami highlighted that the Ahl al-Bayt are the natural extension of the heavenly message, and the events of Karbala exposed the severe deviation the Islamic nation had undergone since pre-Islamic times. He noted that Yemenis take great pride in following the path of Hussein, standing against tyrants, supporting the oppressed, and embodying the true principles, values, and morals of Islam.

Col. Osama al-Ghalibi, Director of Security of the Governorate Center, pointed out the importance of commemorating the tragic memory of Karbala. He stressed that the nation needs to draw inspiration from Imam Hussein's sacrifices, stances, and courage.

Maj. Abdulhakim al-Maqad, Director of Moral Guidance at the Province Security, remarked that honoring the Master of Martyrs and discussing the tragedy of Karbala signifies the profound and lasting impact of the Prophet Muhammad's tribe. The commemoration serves as a reminder of the lessons and teachings carried forward from this significant historical event.
