MUSCAT July 16. 2024 (Saba) - The Royal Oman Police (ROP), along with military and security services, have completed their response to the shooting incident that took place on Monday evening in Wadi Al Kabir area of Muscat governorate.

According to an official statement from the ROP, the incident resulted in the deaths of five civilians, one policeman and three perpetrators.

Additionally, 28 individuals of various nationalities were injured, including four policemen, civil defense personnel, and ambulance staff, who were performing their national duty.

The injured have been transported to health institutions for treatment.

Investigations into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing.

The ROP urged the public to rely on information from official sources and disregard reports from unreliable parties.
