Sit-in in London calls on Starmer to stop arms exports to Zionist entity
[Sun, 14 Jul 2024 23:01:09 +0300]

LONDON July 14. 2024 (Saba) - Hundreds participated in an emergency sit-in in front of the office of the new British Prime Minister Keir Starmer last night, denouncing the Mawasi Khan Yunis massacre and the successive massacres in Gaza and to put more pressure on the Labor government to stop arms exports to the occupation.

Local media reports indicated that the sit-in came in response to the call of the Palestinian Forum in Britain, in cooperation with the Palestine Pulse, health workers for Palestine, and media professionals for Palestine.

Vice President of the Palestinian Forum in Britain Adnan Hamidan pointed to four messages carried by the sit-in, which came after those horrific massacres committed by the Zionist enemy to translate the positive statements of the Labor government into practical positions, most notably (the immediate cessation of arms exports to the occupation, the re-funding of UNRWA, the withdrawal of the previous British government's reservation on the eligibility of the International Criminal Court to consider the complaint against Netanyahu and the leaders of the occupation, and the recognition of the State of Palestine).

This comes after a groundbreaking study from The Lancet, one of the world’s most prestigious medical journals, revealed the tragic impact of the aggression, which is expected to claim the lives of 186,000 Palestinians.
