Brussels - Saba:
On Thursday, the Palestinian Center for Missing and Forcibly Disappeared organized an awareness campaign in Brussels highlighting the file of missing persons in the Israeli genocide against the Gaza Strip.
The campaign included the distribution of hundreds of leaflets bearing photos, names and details of hundreds of Palestinians whose traces were lost during the Israeli military operations, according to the Palestinian Safa news agency
The leaflets included information about the missing persons, the date of the loss and the last places where they were last seen, including hospitals, shelters and areas that witnessed devastating bombings.
The campaign warned that large numbers of the missing died under the rubble or were forcibly detained in unknown circumstances.
The campaign came as part of the center's efforts to pressure international bodies and the European Parliament to open an urgent and independent investigation into the file of the missing and ensure access to answers about their fate.
The center stressed that the continued concealment of the truth about these victims compounds the suffering of their families and constitutes a stain on the forehead of humanity.
The center called on human rights organizations and UN bodies to include the missing persons file among the priorities of the ongoing investigations into the war crimes committed in Gaza
