MOSCOW July 12. 2024 (Saba) -The Russian Defense Ministry announced in its weekly report issued on Friday that Ukrainian forces lost about 14,070 soldiers killed and wounded during the past week.
"From July 6 to 12, Russian forces launched 39 intensive strikes with long-range high-precision weapons launched from weather and sea, as well as strike drones, hitting enemy air bases, Ukrainian defense industry enterprises and energy facilities that supported their work, workshops for assembling military equipment, and sites for storing boats and attack drones," the news agency Sputnik quoted the ministry as saying in its report.
The report stated that units of the "North" group of forces improved their position along the front line, and the losses of Ukrainian forces in their area of responsibility amounted to about 1,800 military, and a number of armored vehicles, cannons, radars, field warehouses and other equipment and military sites of the enemy were destroyed.
The units of the "West" group improved their tactical posture, inflicting losses on the Ukrainian army of up to 3,440 soldiers, units of the "South" forces group hit military forces and equipment of five Ukrainian brigades, and the enemy on this axis lost about 4,380 soldiers.
The "center" group liberated four villages and towns in Donetsk, namely Sokol, Chigary, Yasnoprodovkoye and Voskhod, while the enemy's losses there amounted to about 2,785 military, while units of the "East" group improved their tactical position and inflicted losses on the enemy up to 980 soldiers.
Units of the Dnieper group targeted a number of formations of enemy forces, and Ukrainian losses amounted to about 685 military personnel, and seven American-made Hemarz 142M launchers, which were prepared to launch attacks on the territory of Crimea, and eliminate their foreign operators, were destroyed.
Four launchers and radar of the S-300BS anti-aircraft missile system were destroyed, three launchers and radar of a US-made HAWK anti-aircraft missile system were destroyed, and two launchers and radar platforms of the U.S.-made Patriot anti-aircraft missile system were destroyed.
According to the report, four US-made operational tactical ATACMS, three British-made Storm Shadow cruise missiles, 17 French-made Hammer guided bombs, a US-made HARM anti-radar missile, 28 US-made HIMARS rocket launcher shells and Czech Vampire were shot down, in addition to 308 drones, and 22 Ukraine soldiers surrendered on the combat contact line within a week.
It is worth mentioning that the total destroyed since the beginning of the special military operation is 627 aircraft, 277 helicopters, 27,536 drones, 546 anti-aircraft missile systems, 16,560 tanks and other armored vehicles, 1,376 rocket launchers, 11,768 pieces of field artillery and mortars, and 23,597 special military vehicles.
