OCCUPIED AL-QUDS July 01. 2024 (Saba) - Hamas was able to rehabilitate itself militarily and financially during its current military operation in Shojaiya neighborhood, Yedioth Ahronoth on Monday quoted sources in the enemy army as saying.
According to the Zionist newspaper, a source in the enemy army said "Hamas has established dozens of fighting positions in the neighborhood of Shojaiya, especially in places where the IDF forces were maneuvering six months ago."
Last Wednesday, the Israeli occupation army announced the start of a surprise ground operation in Shojaiya neighborhood to dismantle the infrastructure of Hamas, which is still active there, as it claimed, and indicated that its operation was based on intelligence indicating the presence of resistance fighters and military infrastructure in the area.
Later, the Israeli occupation army announced the objectives of its military operation in the Shojaiya neighborhood, east Gaza City, stressing that it would continue for weeks, while the Palestinian resistance continued to ambush its soldiers and vehicles in various areas of the Gaza Strip.
For its part, the Israel Broadcasting Corporation claimed that during the Shojaiya operation, the Israeli army found documents that would help determine the fate of the prisoners.
