Tehran – Saba:
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated on Friday that military attacks on Iran constitute a blatant violation of all international rules.
Pezeshkian warned that if the Iranian people had not responded to Israeli aggression, it could have led to a comprehensive regional war.
Speaking via video conference at the Eurasia Summit, Pezeshkian, as reported by Tasnim agency, said that since June 12, the Zionist entity has launched brutal aggression and illegal terrorist and armed operations against Iran.
He added that these attacks, which occurred amidst indirect nuclear talks between Iran and the U.S., specifically targeted Iran's peaceful nuclear facilities, which are fully monitored by the IAEA.
Pezeshkian affirmed that these attacks by America and the Zionist entity are an irreparable blow to the nuclear non-proliferation regime.
He detailed that illegal and criminal operations targeted military forces, university professors, and ordinary citizens, resulting in numerous civilian casualties, along with damage to residential areas, public infrastructure, and hospitals over a 12-day imposed war.
The Iranian President stressed that Iranian armed forces defended themselves in accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter.
He called on the international community, particularly the UN Security Council and the IAEA, to adopt a more responsible stance toward the aggressors and warmongers.
