Israeli warplanes carried out a series of intense airstrikes on various areas in southern Lebanon on Friday, despite the ceasefire agreement that has been in effect since last November.
According to the Lebanese National News Agency (NNA), the Israeli aircraft launched a “wide-scale aerial aggression,” targeting the forests of Ali Al-Taher, the heights of Kfar Tibnit, and Nabatiyeh Al-Fawqa, using concussion missiles that caused powerful explosions.
The report added that the airstrikes were repeated shortly afterward, hitting the same areas, with no immediate reports of casualties.
Earlier in the day, an Israeli drone dropped a sound bomb near two civilian vehicles in the town of Ramiya, in the Nabatiyeh region, without causing injuries.
It is worth noting that the ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel, which came into force on November 27, stipulated the withdrawal of Israeli forces from border villages in southern Lebanon within 60 days. However, the Israeli military has remained stationed in five points and continues to violate the agreement intermittently.
