GAZA June 11. 2024 (Saba) - Hamas and Jihad had announced that the leaders of the two movements, Ismail Haniyeh and Ziad al-Nakhalah delivered the response of the resistance factions to the Qatari mediators bduring a meeting with the Qatari Prime Minister and then response was also sent to the Egyptian mediators.
The two movements affirmed in a press statement that the response gives priority to the interest of the Palestinian people, and the necessity of completely stopping the ongoing aggression against Gaza, and withdrawing from the entire Gaza Strip.
It is noteworthy that the Palestinian delegation expressed its readiness to deal positively to reach an agreement that ends this war against the Palestinian people, based on a sense of national responsibility.
On Monday evening, the UN Security Council adopted a draft US resolution calling for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the unconditional implementation of a prisoner exchange deal.
Fourteen member states of the Security Council voted in favor of the draft resolution, which was submitted by the United States of America, while Russia abstained from voting.
