BEIJING June 11. 2024 (Saba) - An earthquake measuring five on the Richter scale struck Weili County in the Mongolian Autonomous State of Xinjiang in northwest China's Xinjiang region on Tuesday morning.
China's official Xinhua news agency quoted the China Center for Seismic Systems as saying in a statement that the epicenter, which occurred at a depth of 20 km, was spotted at the confluence of latitude 40.89 degrees north and longitude 84.15 degrees east.
There were no reports of casualties, according to local authorities.
An earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale struck southern China's Xinjiang region in early April.
