MSF demands end to campaign of death, destruction by Zionist Enemy in Gaza

GENEVA May 30. 2024 (Saba) - Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) has condemned the "campaign of death and destruction" being waged by the Zionist enemy on Gaza, calling for an immediate cessation of hostilities in the city of Rafah in southern Gaza and throughout the entire enclave.

In a statement released on its website, the organization stated "Médecins Sans Frontières calls for an immediate halt to the attack on Rafah and to the ongoing monstrous atrocities across Gaza."

The organization reiterated in its statement that the Zionist entity's military strategy of repeatedly attacking densely populated areas inevitably leads to mass civilian casualties.

Quoting Secretary-General Chris Lockyear, the organization reported: "Civilians are being slaughtered, pushed into areas deemed safe only to be relentlessly bombed from the air and engaged in fierce fighting." He added: "The tents shelter entire families, comprising dozens of besieged individuals living in extremely difficult conditions."

Lockyear pointed out that more than 900,000 people have been forcibly displaced once again, as Zionist forces intensified their attacks on Rafah earlier this month, targeting the tents of displaced persons in Al-Mawassi, west of Rafah.

The organization's statement also highlighted that patients and medical teams at the Temporary Treatment Point for Serious Injuries supported by Médecins Sans Frontières in Tel al-Sultan, where the Rafah massacre occurred, were forced to flee on the night of May 27 as hostilities intensified in the area, leading to the suspension of all medical activities at the medical facility.
