HAJJAH May 18. 2024 (Saba) - The directors of the branch of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation in Hajjah province, Allan Fadael, and the programs at Oxfam, Muhammad Iqbal Khan, were briefed on the level of implementation of a number of water projects implemented by the organization in Abs District.
Fadael and Khan, along with officials from the water teams, Abdul Hasib Al-Qaafi, and food security team, Radwan Oudin, were briefed on the level of implementation and rehabilitation of Al-Jarb water projects in Long district, Al-Sabil, Al-Rubou’, and Jarb Al-Ak, at a value of $269,000.
The projects consist of constructing tanks, pumping liquefaction lines and a network, house meters, supplying and installing pumps that operate with a solar energy system, replacing damaged panels , their holders, an internal distribution network, and establishing water points in camps for displaced people.
Fadael noted the integrated roles in implementing projects and the keenness of the province leadership and the Supreme Council to target humanitarian partners in the water sector, especially in deprived areas hosting displaced people.
While the Director of Programs at Oxfam stressed the organization’s keenness to provide its humanitarian duty towards the displaced and affected people in the province.
