BETHLEHEM May 17. 2024 (Saba) - Herds of Zionist settlers on Friday surrounded a house in the Beit Ascaria community, south of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian news agency "Wafa" quoted the head of the village council of Beit Ascaria, Muhammad Ibrahim, as saying: Dozens of settlers surrounded the house of the citizen Nadi Abu Sway in the area of "Wadi Shekhit", one of the communities of Beit Ascaria, located near the settlement of "Alon Shvout", one of the settlements of the settlement "Gush Etzion" built on citizens' land south of Bethlehem, and tried to remove him from the house, before they were confronted and forced to withdraw from the place.

He added that settler attacks have escalated since the seventh of October, as citizens in the area are prevented from accessing their lands to prune and plow grape trees, in addition to attacking homes and throwing stones.
