SANA'A May 12. 2024 (Saba) - The Minister of the Interior of the caretaker government, Major General Abdul Karim Amir al-Din al-Houthi, reassured the health of the Secretary-General of the Journalists Syndicate, Muhammad Shubaita, after he was injured during an exchange of fire between security men and wanted persons in Al-Thawra Directorate in the capital secretariat.
During the visit, accompanied by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for the Security and Police Sector, Major General Ahmed Ali Jaafar, and the Director of Security of the Capital Secretariat, Major General Muammar Harash, the Minister of Interior expressed his wishes to the Secretary-General of the Journalists Syndicate, Shubaita, for a speedy recovery.
Major General Al-Houthi explained that the tasks carried out by security personnel, the fulfillment of their duties, and the confrontation of crime come in the context of continuous efforts to enhance the security and stability that the citizen enjoys in the capital and the free provinces.
It is noteworthy that the Secretary General of the Journalists Syndicate, Muhammad Shubaita, was injured as a result of an exchange of gunfire between security men and wanted persons.
They opened fire and detonated a bomb at the security men in Al-Hasaba area in Al-Thawra District. This resulted in the death of a citizen and the injury of another at the scene of the incident, the death of one of the shooters and the injury of one of the shooters. Two security personnel were injured.
