DAMASCUS April 19. 2024 (Saba) - The Syrian Ministry of Defense announced that its air defenses responded, at dawn on Friday, to a new Zionist missile attack carried out from the direction of northern occupied Palestine.
The ministry said in a statement: “The Zionist aggression targeted air defense sites in the southern region, and led to material losses.”
On the other hand, 22 members of Al-Quds Brigade, which consists of Palestinian volunteers in the forces supporting the Syrian army, rose in an ambush carried out by the terrorist organization “ISIS” in the eastern countryside of Homs in Syria.
Security sources explained that the ambush occurred on Thursday "during a changeover between units on duty near the town of Taybeh in Sukhna area, northeast of Palmyra in the eastern countryside of Homs, where clashes took place that lasted about an hour."
The sources added that "during the clashes, the terrorists used rocket-propelled grenades to target buses transporting members of the auxiliary forces."
In conjunction with its aggression against Gaza Strip about seven months ago, the Zionist enemy is launching repeated attacks in Syria, given Syria’s position in support of the resistance, and in an attempt to achieve an imaginary victory in light of its successive failures in the Gaza field.
