ULAANBAATAR January 24. 2023 (Saba) - Six people were killed and 14 others were injured in Mongolian capital, Ulaanbaatar, at dawn today, as a result of a gas tank explosion resulting from a traffic accident.
Agence France-Presse quoted the Mongolian National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, as saying in a statement: “Three people were killed in the fire, three firefighters also died, and 14 people were injured,” explaining that the death toll is likely to rise, and that among the wounded are four children.
The tanker was loaded with 60 tons of liquefied gas when it collided with a car and exploded, while firefighting teams worked to put out the fire.
