SANA'A December 10. 2023 (Saba) - The Supreme Council for the Administration and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation confirmed that the decision of the World Food Program to stop humanitarian aid in the free governorates is a political decision and a punishment for the Yemeni people who support the Palestinian cause, whose people are subjected to genocide by the Zionist entity.
The Supreme Council indicated in a statement, a copy of which was received by (Saba), that the decision of the UN program that was announced on December 5, which included a “temporary suspension” of general food aid, comes in implementation of previous American threats to cut off humanitarian aid if the Yemeni position in support of the people continues Palestinian.
The statement noted that the program's decision to stop food aid in Sana'a and the free zones and continue distributing it in the occupied territories violates the principles of humanitarian work.
The statement stated that the Supreme Council made great efforts with the World Food Program and proposed a number of solutions to ensure the continued disbursement of humanitarian aid to the people most in need, but they were rejected.
