SANA'A September 17. 2023 (Saba)-His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, Head of the Supreme Political Council, was briefed today, Sunday, on the progress of work on Al-Nasr Bridge project - Al-Saila intersection with Al-Nasr Street in Shu’ab District in the capital’s secretariat.
His Excellency the President, accompanied by parliament Speaker , Yahya Ali Al-Ra'i, the Prime Minister, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, his Deputy for Economic Affairs - the Minister of Finance, Dr. Rashid Abu Lahoum, the Director of the Revolution Leader Office , Safar Al-Sufi, the Mayor of the Capital, Hammoud Abbad, and the Head of the Military Intelligence Authority, Major General Abdullah Al-Hakim, learned about the components of the project.
Which values seven million and 780 thousand dollars, of which four million and 450 thousand dollars are funded by the local council of the secretariat under the directives of the President of the Supreme Political Council, to complete the implementation of the project that was halted as a result of the aggression and siege.
President Al-Mashat was briefed on the work on the project, which is 508 meters long and 17.5 meters wide, with pedestrian sidewalks on both sides of the bridge to connect the two banks of the liquid and the passage of citizens.
He heard from the Undersecretary of the Secretariat for the Works and Projects Sector, Engineer Abdul Karim Al-Houthi, an explanation about the progress of work in implementing a concrete bridge, “bases, columns, walls, pipes, and a concrete slab,” the suspended concrete section with a length of 224 meters, and the surface planning work that includes the streets surrounding the site ,the liquid parts, and the percentage of completion in Work reached 70 percent.
The President directed the speedy completion the project and a commitment to the quality of work in accordance with the specified engineering and technical specifications.
He stressed moving forward with the construction process, achieving local development requirements, providing services and projects to citizens, according to available capabilities
They were accompanied during the visit by the Secretary General of the Local Council, Amin Jamaan, the First Undersecretary of the Municipality, Khaled Al-Madani, the Chairman of the Social Affairs Committee of the Local Council, Hammoud Al-Naqeeb, and a number of officials.
