Sana'a - Saba:
Yemen's National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has forecast scattered rainfall of varying intensity, some accompanied by thunder, across several governorates over the next 24 hours. Meanwhile, hot to very hot conditions are anticipated in the country's desert and coastal plains.
According to the center's latest bulletin, areas including Al Mahwit, Dhamar, Raymah, and Ibb are expected to experience rainfall, which could be accompanied by thunder at times. Scattered rain is also forecast for parts of Saada, Amran, western Sana'a, Al Dhale'e, Al Bayda, the highlands of Lahj and Abyan, the Socotra Archipelago, the eastern coasts, and adjacent inland areas.
Temperatures are set to soar in the deserts and coastal plains, with maximums ranging between 39 and 44 degrees Celsius. Coastal areas will also experience hot weather, with temperatures expected to be between 35 and 40 degrees Celsius.
Strong winds are a concern for maritime areas, with speeds of 30 to 40 knots predicted for the Socotra Archipelago and the eastern coasts.
The meteorological center has issued several warnings to the public. Citizens in mountainous regions where rain is expected are advised to be cautious of thunderstorms and to avoid crossing or entering floodwaters. Those in desert and coastal areas should steer clear of direct sunlight during the afternoon hours.
Seafarers, fishermen, and ship captains are urged to exercise extreme caution due to rising seas and rough conditions anticipated in the Socotra Archipelago, the eastern coasts, and the entrance to the Bab al-Mandab Strait.
