SANA'A July 24. 2023 (Saba)-A meeting in Bajil district of Al Hodeida discussed Save the Children interventions in the district, and a plan to cover the humanitarian and service needs gap in the areas of health, water, roads and food.
The Director of the Directorate, Al-Rifai, reviewed the most important necessary needs. Especially in areas exacerbated by population density, urban expansion, and displacement; as a result of the aggression and siege noting the interventions of Save the Children in the health aspect
He urged the expansion of support for these needs, and the provision of water service projects that meet the needs of the citizen, given the scarcity of well water, the population density, the population displacement to the directorate, and the education aspect.
For his part, the director of the Humanitarian Affairs Council branch in the directorate, Muhyiddin Shara, confirmed the council's keenness to provide facilities to enhance the organization's activities in the directorate.
He praised its efforts in various humanitarian aspects.
The director of health in the directorate, Ibrahim Morshed, appreciated the organization's efforts in supporting the health aspect, pointing to the areas of need that represent a priority for the health sector, especially equipment, supplies, medicine, and the expansion of health units in the directorate.
In turn, the organization's regional and country team indicated that Save the Children is working on evaluating support and performance, and will seek to raise the level of its activity to improve the humanitarian and service conditions in Bajil district.
The organization's regional and country team, along with the Director of the Directorate, inspected the workflow and needs in the Al-Mazariya People's Unit in the Bajil district, the level of health and treatment services provided to citizens, and the extent of the actual need to ensure their continuity.
