TEHRAN March 06. 2023 (Saba) - The General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces announced that Iranian experts were able to manufacture a ballistic missile that has the ability to destroy moving marine targets, with a speed of Mach 8 and a range of 1,500 km.
Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, said, "Iran has achieved the ability to manufacture ballistic missiles capable of destroying mobile, floating naval units."
It was quoted by the Iranian "Mehr" agency Major General Bagheri confirmed that "this missile has been successfully tested, and is currently being manufactured in a large number, and thus Iran has become among the three countries in the world that have the technology to manufacture this type of missile."
And he pointed out that by possessing this, security will be provided remarkably in the seas surrounding us to a distance of more than 1,000 kilometers.
And he added, "This ballistic missile targets from the air, with high accuracy (point), moving targets at a speed of Mach 8 and a range of 1,500 km. In this case, aircraft carriers and enemy ships will not be safe at a distance of 1,500 km from our coasts, and this achievement was achieved by the elites of our youth, stressing the need to continue this growing pace.
