Anti-occupation Israeli journalist Gideon Levy said that eliminating Hamas is the annihilation of a people, or at least the killing of all the men in the Gaza Strip. Levy explained that eliminating Hamas is the annihilation of an entire people.
Levi wrote in Haaretz newspaper: "The destruction of Hamas appears to be a legitimate goal, especially after October 7, but it is unachievable without the complete annihilation of the Gaza Strip. Therefore, the elimination of Hamas is a criminal act."
