SANA'A November 21. 2022 (Saba)- His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, Head of the Supreme Political Council, met today,on Monday, with the Governor of the Socotra Archipelago, Hashim Al-Socotra.
During the meeting, the situation in Socotra was discussed in light of the absurd practices the archipelago is being subjected to by the UAE occupation forces with American-Zionist support, the systematic looting of capabilities, fish and animal wealth, antiquities, and tampering with the environmental diversity in the province.
In the meeting, President Al-Mashat renewed his condemnation and denunciation of the criminal acts against the Socotra Archipelago by the aggression forces in targeting the Yemeni identity of the archipelago's people and bringing about demographic changes in it, in addition to the deliberate looting of natural wealth and antiquities and tampering with environmental diversity.
He pointed to the violations of the occupation forces in archipelago by cutting down and transporting trees , rare birds and destroying marine life in flagrant violation of international agreements, treaties and covenants.
The head of the Supreme Political Council referred to the role of the people of the province in preserving the social fabric by thwarting the plans of aggression aimed at subjecting them to guardianship and plundering the wealth and capabilities of the province and its people.
