SANA'A October 3.2022 (Saba) - The Ministry of Fisheries on Monday announced closing the season of catching coastal shrimp in the Red Sea region in Yemeni territorial waters until further notice.

In a decision issued today, a copy of which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the ministry called on all those who practice the profession of shrimp fishing in the Red Sea region to remove the fishing equipment designated for catching shrimp, starting from 7 Rabi’ al-Awwal 1444 AH corresponding to October 3, 2022.

The ministry warned against practicing any shrimp fishing activity during the closure season.
