Houthi Group continues violations killing two in Jawf

JAWF, May 05 (Saba) - Houthi elements have shot dead two shepherds in the Ghail district, Jawf, amid continuous violations of the ceasefire deal.

The Interior Ministry reported that the two, aged 25-30, were deliberately shot inside their tent without committing any fault.

A hunt was launched for the killers.

The incident came within continuous violence by the Houthi group in the province hampering the peace process and violating the ceasefire deal that was brought into effect in February ending a six-year war between the army and the group.

In this regard, members of the group injured a five-year-old child in Manbah district, Saada, in the clashes that erupted between armed Houthis and one of pro-government elder.

Security sources said that the group is cleansing tribal elders who supported the army during the operations against the insurgency.

Since the ceasefire was announced on February 11, the committees overseeing it have reported many violations by the group saying it is reluctant to implementing the deal.

Its members have killed and wounded more than 30 innocents including civilians and policemen.
