MAHWEET, April 29 (Saba) - Governor of Mahweet Faisal Haider opened Tuesday together with the director of the branch of the Rural Water Projects Authority Adel Bader four water projects in the district of Jabal Al-Mahweet.
The first phase of the Al-Hawasila water project funded by the Kuwaiti Aid Organization was opened at a cost of $ 350 thousand, from which will take benefit about 12 thousand people.
The service was also launched in three water reservoirs for rainwater harvesting, covering the needs of about three thousand people at a cost of $ 120 thousand and funded by UNICEF.
In the opening, Governor Haidar praised the role of the Ministry of Water and the branch of the Rural Water Projects Authority and their efforts in implementing a network of large water projects to cover the needs of a number of areas in Mahweet .
The Director-General of the Rural Water Projects Authority, Adel Bader, also commended the cooperation of the province leadership in overcoming the field work procedures for the implementation of the water projects, noting the role of the Ministry of Water and the Authority in accomplishing and supporting the rural water services.
Bader pointed to the continuation of work in a number of projects in the district.
He indicated that the second phase of the project of the waters of Al-Hawasila will be launched after a month at a cost of 300 thousand dollars.
