SANAA, April 25 (Saba) - The Yemen Petroleum Company (YPC) on Thursday said that it has taken all measures to end the crisis in gasoline during the next 48 hours.
A ship, carrying 23,971 tons of gasoline arrived at the port of Hodeidah today after being held for 19 days by the US-saudi aggression coalition, the company said in a statement obtained by the Saba news agency.
The ship is expected to be connected to the loading dock at Hodeidah port in the coming hours, the statement said.
The company confirmed that it has prepared to the receipt of vessels oil derivatives, a week ago, and took all necessary procedures to enter the ship to connect immediately upon arrival at the port of Hodeidah, to take the process of laboratory testing and quantitative measurement and start the process of pumping the shipment in case the shipment were in accordance with the approved specifications.
It affimred the preparation of the distribution programs to create a comprehensive supply stability, where all the staff of the company in all its branches in the provinces were assigned to determine the needs of all vital sectors of the entire geographical scope and distribution to the centers of cities, districts and highways at the same time.
The company pointed out that the locomotives rushed to the facilities of Hodeidah from all branches of the company in the provinces because the facilities have become ready to load large quantities of gasoline and take all necessary measures to end the manifestations of the crisis of gasoline with the next 48 hours of the publication of this statement.
It also stressed the adoption and tightening of control procedures and direct supervision of all oil stations in coordination with the concerned authorities, which would create a comprehensive supply stability of the substance of gasoline as in the case of diesel.
It reassured citizens of the stability of the ration situation, as it will be covered all the local needs, where all the licensed stations should work at one time..
The company appreciated the efforts exerted by all local and international bodies which contributed to pressure on the coalition of aggression to release this ship.
It welcomed the steadfastness of the protesters in front of the United Nations Office from all public and private bodies to demand the entry of oil vessels, despite all obstacles put by the coalition.
