SANAA, April 2 (Saba) - Prime Minister Dr. Abdul Aziz bin Habtoor met on Monday with the Head of the Tax Authority Hashim al-Shami and the Undersecretary of of Authority Abdo Kazman.









The Prime Minister received during the meeting a report from the head of the Tax Authority on the achievements of the Authority for the last period and its draft for strategic plan, as well as what came out of the recent consultative meeting of the Presidency of the Authority and its branches in the provinces to develop and expand work and raise the efficiency of the level of revenue collection in accordance with the law in force on both monetary and notebook.









Al-Shami referred to the existing efforts to activate the system of combating tax evasion, besides the ability of the Authority to complete the networking project which serves and simplifies procedures and achieves the required transparency in this sensitive area.









He referred to the aspects related to the continuous technical training program for cadres of the department, which seeks to develop capacities and cope with changes in this sector, as well as automation and archiving of tax data.









The Prime Minister emphasized the important function of the Tax Authority and the conscious efforts it requires to perform at all levels.









He praised the achievements of the Authority during the past period in favor of the development of the mechanism of work, and the collection of the legal tax of the State, due from all taxpayers in accordance with the law.









He urged the Authority to continue to develop its working mechanism and the level of its collection activities and to develop constructive relations with the private sector towards various common tax issues.
