ANAA, March 28 (Saba) - The Ministry of Industry and Trade announced on Thursday announced the launch of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program and the launch of the National Entrepreneur Competition for Innovators, Creators and Inventors.
The Ministry of Industry said in a statement obtained by Saba news agency that the ministry will choose ten winners, who will present the top ten innovative projects that are applicable according to their economic feasibility and sustainability.
The ministry added that the ministry has allocated financial prizes in cash and in kind to the winners, saying that it will finance the winning projects and announce them at the end of the fourth exhibition of inventors on 26 June 2019.
It pointed out that the Ministry will receive all entries through the window of entrepreneurs in the ministry or the electronic window at the site of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (www.moit.gov.ye) during the period from 25 March to the end of April 2019.
The following are the conditions of the competition:
1. The idea of the project should be innovative, successful, new, highly economical and applicable.
2. Provide an integrated economic feasibility study on the project submitted.
3. The application of the idea shall lead to the establishment or development of an industrial or productive establishment with a final product of tangible benefit and there shall be a need for it.
4. Innovation should provide secure and sustainable employment opportunities that meet the needs of the labor market.
5. Innovation should have the ability to continue so that it does not end with the end of the funding period.
6. Individual or collective innovations may be accepted provided that the team leader is identified.
7. The competition is limited to the owners of ideas of new industrial projects and on the basis of innovative products.
8. The applicant must be Yemeni nationality.
9. Applicants should take into account the non-infringement of the intellectual property rights of others.
10. The Competition Organizing Committee have the right to reject any project and to provide reasons for the applicant according to report of the Organizing Committee of the Competition.
It is worth mentioning that the projects submitted to the competition will be studied through specialized committees from different concerned authorities.
