SANAA, Jan. 23 (Saba) - Ahli club in Sanaa on Tuesday launched its cultural activities for the year 2019 through organizing a poetry and story evening that was revived by a number of poets and writers.


The cultural activity of the current year includes various cultural programs, poetry evenings, stories, seminars, weekly lectures and various competitions.

During the inauguration, which was attended by Chairman of the General Authority for Books (GAB) Zaid al-Faqih, Secretary General of Ahli club Abdullah Jaber referred attention drawn by the club's to cultural activities in line with sports activities.

He praised the efforts of the Cultural Committee in continued organizing for activities to emphasize the Yemeni cultural heritage, stressing the readiness of the board of the club to support various cultural programs and activities.

Chairman of the cultural committee in the club Yahya al-Shahari that these activities and programs will be held weekly in the framework of attention drawn by the club to cultural field, calling on everyone to interact and participate in order to contribute to the success of all activities and events.

He pointed out that the leadership of the club to organizes such activities in order to discover talent and encourage the creators, noting that the club will organize next week a symposium on the concerns of Yemeni sport.
