Taiz – Saba:
A training course in the field of training executive development units for the multi-purpose Al-Taiziyah Agricultural Cooperative Association was concluded in Taiz province.
The course, organized by the "Bonyan" Academy for Training and Qualification under the Associations Program, was funded by the local authority represented by the Project Financing Unit in the province, in cooperation with the local authority in the district, the General Mobilization, and the Agricultural Cooperative Union in the province. It aimed to equip 24 trainees—members of the board of directors and unit coordinators in the executive management of the association—with methodologies , mechanisms for developmental , agricultural work in line with state policy and the Quranic March approach.
Over six days, the trainees acquired knowledge and skills on preparing executive project plans for each unit and linking all units within an integrated framework.
The training resulted in the preparation of an emergency action plan for three projects in the district, including the provision of improved seeds through a contract with a major farmer to cultivate hybrid corn seeds. Additionally, surveys and studies were conducted for wells to establish contract farming, along with providing solar energy, loans, seeds, farming contracts, loan agreements, and surveys across all units. The program also mobilized community contributions to land reclamation, plowing, seed distribution, guidance, pest control, and marketing.
During the closing ceremony, Abdulwase’ Al-Shamsi, the province’s Deputy for Development Affairs, praised the implementation of such training courses and programs, which reflect the local authority’s commitment to qualifying agricultural cadres to advance the agricultural sector.
Al-Shamsi urged the trainees to consolidate all plans into a unified matrix and action plan for Al-Taiziyah Agricultural Association and to implement them on the ground.
Meanwhile, Abdullah Al-Jundi, the Agricultural Sector Official in the province; Muhammad Hibah, Director of the Agricultural Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit; and Abdulkhaliq Al-Junaid, Director of Al-Taiziyah District, emphasized that this course aligns with the directives of the revolutionary and political leadership, as well as the follow-up by the Ministry of Agriculture and the province’s leadership, as part of efforts to develop the association’s agricultural sector in the district, achieve food security, and move toward self-sufficiency.
