Taiz - Saba:
The Acting Governor of Taiz, Ahmed Al-Masawi, today inaugurated the Al-Badia Health Center in the Al-Badia area of Mawiyah District. The center was established through a community initiative by local residents with contributions from the local authority in the governorate, at a cost of 30 million Yemeni riyals.
During the inauguration, attended by the Director of the Governorate’s Office of Health and Environment, Dr. Mohammed Al-Ezzi, Al-Masawi stated that the opening of the health center coincides with the upcoming anniversary of the Prophet’s birthday.
He stressed the importance of activating community initiatives to contribute to comprehensive developmental and service progress in various fields, including healthcare. Al-Masawi called for embodying the spirit of giving and solidarity to build the modern Yemeni state under the slogan, “One hand protects… and one hand builds.”
For his part, the Director of Mawiyah District, Abdul Salam Hashem, praised community efforts and initiatives, which played the main role in completing the healthcare project, urging continued cooperation between the local authority and the community to support service and development projects.
Meanwhile, the head of the district’s Social Unit, Abdullah Obeidan, commended both community members and the local authority for the success of the healthcare project, which will serve the community and alleviate its suffering.
Community project leader Mohammed Al-Abdali highlighted the district’s need for service and development projects, especially as it has suffered from deprivation for decades. He expressed hope that the local authority would provide as many service and development projects as possible.
The inauguration included the launch of a free four-day medical camp for tonsillectomy surgeries.
