Jenin / Hebron – Saba:
Today, Israeli occupation forces uprooted and broke dozens of olive trees in the town of Zahr al-Abed, south of Jenin.
Meanwhile, Israeli settlers cut down more than 100 grapevines east of Yatta town, south of Hebron in the occupied West Bank.
In Zahr al-Abed, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that local resident Jihad Ammarna said Israeli forces uprooted and destroyed a large number of olive trees on his agricultural land.
Earlier, Israeli bulldozers began digging a road from an Israeli outpost established on the hills of Khirbat Masoud near Zahr al-Abed in Jenin. The bulldozers passed through Ammarna’s land, which spans 13 dunams and was confiscated to expand the settler outpost, which has been in place since 2019.
Ammarna also pointed out that settlers frequently attack farmers, graze their livestock on agricultural lands, and carry out acts of vandalism and destruction.
In the east of Yatta town, south of Hebron, activist Osama Mukhamera told WAFA that settlers cut down more than 100 grapevines planted on an area of 4 dunams belonging to Palestinian citizen Nabil al-Nawaja in the Ashkara area, southeast of Yatta and close to the archaeological site of Khirbat Susiya.
It is noteworthy that Israeli settlers have intensified their attacks on residents and their property in Masafer Yatta, aiming to forcibly displace them from their lands to expand settlements.
