First Deputy Prime Minister, Scholar Mohammed Muftah, discussed with Minister of Oil and Minerals Dr. Abdullah Al-Ameer and Minister of Electricity, Energy, and Water Dr. Ali Saif aspects of cooperation to enhance the stability of electricity services provided by the Public Electricity Corporation.
Scholar Muftah emphasized the importance of strengthening joint efforts between the two ministries to ensure the stability of services delivered by the Ministry of Electricity, represented by the Public Electricity Corporation.
He highlighted the need for clear roles and responsibilities for both ministries to ensure the continuous generation of electricity by the Corporation while fulfilling its obligations toward the oil company. He also pointed out the shared responsibility among various government entities in serving the public interest.
The meeting, attended by Deputy Minister of Electricity, Energy, and Water Adel Bader, Director of the Public Electricity Corporation Dr. Mishal Al-Rifi, and Deputy Director of the Yemen Oil Company Yasser Al-Khatib, resulted in an agreement on a joint mechanism between the Electricity Corporation and the Oil Company to ensure stable electricity generation.
