Sana'a - Saba:
The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning forecasts scattered and variable rainfall across several governorates, with strong to very strong winds hitting the Socotra Archipelago, the Gulf of Aden, and the southern and eastern coasts within the next 24 hours.
The center stated in its weather bulletin that thunderstorms of varying intensity are likely to fall on parts of the governorates of Mahwit, Dhamar, Ibb, Dhale'a, Taiz, and the highlands of Lahj, Abyan, and Shabwah.
Scattered rainfall is expected across parts of the governorates of Saada, Hajjah, Amran, Sana'a, Raymah, Bayda, Hadhramaut, and Mahrah.
The center indicated strong to very strong winds over the Socotra Archipelago, the Gulf of Aden, and the southern and eastern coasts.
Yesterday, thunderstorms of varying intensity fell outside the range of meteorological stations in parts of the governorates of Mahrah, Hadramaut, Dhale'a, Ibb, Taiz, Dhamar, and the highlands of Lahj, Abyan, and Shabwa.
The center warned citizens in areas where rainfall is expected to be severe to avoid thunderstorms and to avoid being in or crossing floodwaters during and after the rainfall.
It also warned seafarers, fishermen, and ship captains of rough seas and high waves around the Socotra Archipelago, the Gulf of Aden, and the eastern and southern coasts.
