The local authority and executive office of Shabwa governorate mourned on Friday the passing of Sheikh Mohammed Awad Hussein al-Tawsali, who passed away after a life dedicated to service and national struggle.
In a statement of condolence, the local authority extended heartfelt sympathies to the Governor of Shabwa, Awad Mohammed bin Farid al-Awlaqi, his brothers, the late Sheikh's children, al-Tawasil tribe in particular, and al-Awaliq tribes in general.
The statement praised Sheikh al-Tawsali’s distinguished role as one of the most respected and upright social and tribal figures.
It devoted his life to the service of the nation and the people, playing a vital role in resolving disputes, promoting reconciliation, and strengthening social bonds among Yemenis.
The statement further noted that the late Sheikh was a model of integrity, sincerity, and dedication—deeply committed to the sacred duty of nation-building and the defense of Yemen’s security, stability, and sovereignty. He remained steadfast in upholding the values and principles he believed in throughout his life.
The statement emphasized that with his passing, Shabwa and the nation have lost an influential tribal and social figure—one who contributed significantly to raising national awareness and reinforcing social cohesion.
The local authority concluded by praying for Almighty God’s mercy and forgiveness upon the late Sheikh and asked that his family and loved ones be granted patience and solace.
