The governor of Russia's Kursk region, Alexander Khinshtein, announced this morning that three people were killed and six others were injured in an attack launched by Ukrainian forces on a beach in the Russian city of Kursk.
"Unfortunately, three people were killed instantly as a result of the attack on the beach in Kursk. I offer my deepest condolences to the families of the victims," Khinshtein said via Telegram, according to Sputnik.
He added, "The number of injured has risen to six. One man was injured by shrapnel in his shoulder, and another was injured in his rib and suffered shrapnel wounds. They were also taken to the Kursk Regional Hospital."
The official added that emergency services were working at the scene.
Ukrainian forces target Russian border areas in the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Voronezh, and Rostov regions, as well as the Crimean Peninsula, on an almost daily basis, with drones and missiles.
For their part, Russian forces have responded by targeting exclusively Ukrainian military infrastructure, as well as facilities of the military-industrial complex, everything related to the storage, repair, or manufacture of military equipment, and centers for the concentration of Ukrainian armed forces personnel and foreign mercenaries.
